This break has been one of the best ones so far.
When I got home Thursday night I was so ready to crash. I pretty much just went to bed.
Friday was Matthew's birthday. I got up really early (like 8) so I could see him. I was worried he would be shy because it's been 7 weeks since the last time I saw him, but that wasn't the case. He was playing on the floor so I kind of knelt down next to him and did the whole "hi buddy!" thing, and he smiled and crawled over to me and climbed into my lap and gave me a really big hug, so that made me ecstatic. Then he and Keena and I went over to Concord so she could pick up her new digital camera (and I inherited the old one!!!) and Matthew had an appointment to get his picture taken. We went out to lunch at the Olive Garden and the food was amazing. Then Keena had to take Captain to the vet so I watched the baby, and we went for a walk, only Keena had left the stroller in the car, so I carried Matthew down the road on my shoulders, and he seemed to enjoy that. Then Keena and Captain came back and we went for a real walk with the stroller and had smoothies. Then Jeff came home from work and we did Matthew's little birthday party. He pretty much stuck his hand into the cake. He's so cute, I could eat him. Then he opened his presents from Ryan (cute little outfit, book, toy), and loved the fridge farm thing. He took one of the magnets that came with it and brought it over to where I was sitting and showed it to me, which was like, really cute. Then we all went to bed.
I got up the next morning and watched Matty so Jeff and Keena could go to the mall. I put him down for his nap and he was soooo good, then when he got up he had his little fire truck thermies on and I picked him up and he grabbed Chester and the three of us just kind of snuggled on the couch for awhile because he didn't really want me to put him down. Then we played all morning and he wouldn't let go of Chester, then I fed him his lunch, and Jeff and Keena came back. Then I drove home and stopped in and saw Dad at work, then I went over to see Grandpa and spent a few hours over there. Then I went shopping for Matthew's birthday. Two outfits, a book, and a weeble toy thing. I went home, then my favorite Sara called and we hung out and I exposed her to the two hour long orgasm in a DVD case (Rent).
On Sunday Easter was a little awkward, but it was still fun. It's nice to have Grandpa there. I obviously wish that Ryan and Keena and their significant others and Matthew were there, but that's ok. I've lucked out in terms of having holidays with them. After Easter dinner I hung out with Kari and Kirstin, which was really good fun. I love them. And I love Pyro. He's cute.
Today I hung out with my favorite Brittany, who I had not hung out with for a very long time. I love seeing my friends. It makes me really happy. Like, seriously. I didn't get to see anyone in February because of sickness. It's really good to know that you have two groups of friends. And it's especially great because I know my friends at school would get along well with my friends at home. Friends are amazing. I love you all.
I also love my dad. We're doing well. And I love my grandpa too. And also my sister and brother in law and my nephew, who's birthday party I am quite excited for. I can't believe the kid is one though. Holy crap, where did the year go? He was like, just born. Seriously. Oh well, the rest of the week should be good. I have to register my car and register to vote (!!!!) tomorrow. I'm hoping to have some quality Grandpa time tomorrow and Wednesday.
Johnson out.
