Summertime Blues

I'm starting to get a little worried and paranoid that summer is so close to ending already. As much as it seems like it's already lasted forever, it feels like it just started. Only ten more days until I move, so that's kind of a mixed bag. I'm excited to go, but sad to leave. We started packing up a lot of stuff the last few days, so it looks really weird and empty.
In other news, Sack Lunch is getting a little stale. I was at her house last week for some party she had, and met all her friends, who are all either better looking or more interesting than her. I'm not saying it to be mean, she's really very nice, but there's no banter. I need a banter. I back and forth. A give and take. But there's nothing. I'm carrying the whole thing. Her friends interrogated me with all these questions and one girl goes "how do you treat dogs?" I answered, "I don't know, how do I treat you?" I thought it was funny, but apparently I didn't know her well enough to say that to her. At least she was drunk. GG enjoyed it, but she agrees with everything I say. I could claim the world was flat and she wouldn't argue.
I have to go to hockey registration soon. I don't know what I'm going to play. I think I'm coaching so that will take up a lot of time, but I want to play too. Only the Dal intramural league has mostly Tuesday night games, which is the only night I have classes. I'm thinking about leaving the movie theatre too because I apparently have to work three shifts a week which really I don't want to do, as much as I want free movies.
On the bright side I'm very excited about going to Shubenacadie avec Lu et Marc Saulnier and maybe others. It should be a splendid day. Hopefully they have goats, it might give me some inspiration to finish the song Cheryl and I started about Goatface, to the tune of Rod Stewart classic chart topper, "Maggie May."
I was watching swimming on Sunday with my grandmother and Ian Thorpe was swimming and my grandmother asked if he was black, at which point I had to tell her it was just a body suit. She said she thought he looked a little too dark. Then she went back to her crossword puzzle and plate of cat food sandwiches...
