Wasn't planning on it.
It was. That's a part of it. The evidence was scanty, and supposedly connected him to the bombings--but not Doma. And why the hell would he keep evidence around for months on end afterward?

One or the other maybe. But stupid and insane means you get caught, fast.
There's someone else behind this. They may have even thrown this guy to the wolves, to cover his tracks. Doing a really good job hiding themselves. In this case? Insane and scary smart.

If he was behind the Lunasa bombings but not Doma, do you think whoever might be trying to cover their tracks knew about him from the beginning, made up the evidence, or was behind both? Or something else?
If it's any of those the culprit's still on your crew. And insane and brilliant. What are you going to do?

I don't know, I don't know! The evidence looked legit, but could have been planted. We've handed him over to the authorities so I can't get at him.
They've got to be on the crew still, but all I've got to go on are hunches. I feel like I'm flying blind, dammit.

Or not well enough. Otherwise, maybe we could see the madness before it was too late.

Just checking up on you.

...Checking up, huh? I assume you heard the news that we're not getting dragged across the border--for now?

Yes. Did you expect it?
Reply
On the one hand, yes, given that we supposedly found who did it but...on the other I'm not so sure.

Hm. It seemed... Sudden. What makes you hesitate about it?

I want your thoughts. You're the one closest to all this, what do you think?

You know. The worst sort.

I think we both know the sort too well.

Are you going to investigate this?

Of course, Uchiha, what do you take me for?

And don't do anything stupid. If the man or woman behind this is as smart and insane as that, then they're peobably powerful as well.
Next to Doma you'd be easy to dispose of.

Maybe. But crazier people have found me more tenacious than you give me credit for.

Orochimaru never managed to poison everything in a ten mile radius and blame it on someone else.
Check in every week. Don't start turning Leaf idealist on me now, Mitarashi.
