Exit Through The Gift Shop
I had the pleasure of viewing this at the Laemmle Music Hall on Friday. Following the 1938 War of the Worlds Radio Broadcast, this has to be one of the greatest pranks ever pulled on a gullible culture.
The sheer amount of effort put into the orchestrated events leading up to the film and the unbelievably absurd results make for a very ingeniously crafted mockumentary.
Even better was that I was joined by an adorable octogenarian couple who shouted "Are you fucking kidding me?!" during a climactic part. I hope I'm still kicking it like that in my 80s.
