Wow, almost a month since the last update.... (okay, and then I didn't post this, so it's been even longer since the last update)
Elune: Still quiet. Though I logged onto Skylear and got her her kitty last night (which was not last night but like 2 weeks ago)! I am reconsidering moving Damarisa to Bronzebeard until WotLK. I feel disconnected from GWN, which is why I don't play there, I think. Everyone is raiding, and they all do their own thing. I love getting "Hi Dama!"s when I log in, but then I basically go around and solo or PUG everything, and that makes me not want to log in. Of course, I know part of this is because I don't play there, I am not connected to the people there. It's a vicious cycle. I tried to schedule a run, but no one could go or showed up. Yeah, it was one run, but ... I dunno. There's a disconnect there, partially due to my not being 70 and not able to go on runs with the 70s, and nowhere in hell geared up enough to do anything close to that. Don't get me wrong, I love the people there, and our GL is awesomesauce. I don't know that there's anything I *can* do to be more connected, at least not until there is a level playing field again (ie, WotLK) and a chance to quest together.
Skylear has her mount, the ... Nightsaber? Whatever the darker one is. Damarisa would be upset because she is a fan of the spotted kitty. I'm not sure what I want to do with her. Leveling balance is getting harder and harder. I'm *this close* to saying "frell it" and respeccing her to feral. I have no idea where to quest on a 34 solo on the Alliance side. All her STV quests are yellow and I have a ton of orange and red quests too.
Arathor: We have blasted through all of Nagrand now, and Jeudi is 67, with a level of xps gained from stealing fires in Horde cities (only one death! In Silvermoon!), and stealing fires in Azeroth and Outlands. We did Ring of Blood last night with a 64 spriest and 65 enhance shammy, and the spriest dinged so we started over and did it again. Unfortunately, we wiped 3 times on Mogor, and the last time I just had to spam flash heal on Jazra to keep her up post his repop. We also got some help from a bored hunter, so that may have been beneficial.
I found out that our rogue has 232 first aid, but only heavy silk bandages. So he's done the quest, but never got the Mageweave book, so I'll be sending someone out to collect that, soon. And then likely farm mageweave for him to level his first aid.
Hildegaarde dinged exalted with Darnassus quite a while back, but only recently did I have enough money to buy her epic riding! So she now is sitting on an epic kitty in Darnassus, still at 62. I dunno...I just have no desire to play her, at all.
Bronzebeard: Healah went to Karazhan, and we had a ton of plate drop, and only healing stuff dropped off Aran, both of which went to her (woot!). I did okay healing-wise, but since we had our epic pally healer and our newly-respecced to CoH priest, I was really surpurfluous for most of that run. She quested a bit, but needs to do a LOT more quests, and get her rep with Sporeggar up to Revered so she can make the herb bags.
Healah has since been to Karazhan again, and got healing bracers, IIRC. I was unable to go on Day 2 due to D&D, and of course, a shit-ton of healing stuff dropped and went to our spriest for offspec. Le Sigh.
Tryna has been going to SSC on Sunday nights with SHP. I missed their first Hydross kill, but we've gotten him down twice since then. This past Sunday, they either kicked 2 people from the raid or they left themselves when we realized they weren't on vent so weren't listening to the transitions and frelling it up, big time. We had a wipe at 1% with 24 (QQ!), but then got him down on the next try in a textbook manner, once the tanks on the adds were told again what they were tanking, and in some cases, that they WERE supposed to be tanking.
No luck with Lurker that week, since it took too many attempts at Hydross. They're going again on Thursday, but since IC will be hitting up MH again, I did not go!
However, this PAST Sunday, we ... 2? 4? shot Hydross. Not so much transition issues this time, maybe once or twice. Mainly keeping the tanks up when they start the transitions, I think. Our normal raid leader was not there...in fact, he handed lead to me! I was supremely uncomfortable in leading 22 other people from another guild (2 other DotHers were there), so I handed lead off to someone else. I did mark the packs to Lurker, and then explained why we fight them in that order. Was tough with only one mage for sheeping the healers, but we trapped/feared the other one, and did very well. And then we got Lurker down! 3rd or 4th try. We had one try going amazingly well, and then lost the tank. But the last time it was beautifully perfect, and then my computer crashed at 5%. I logged back in, dead, but Lurker was also dead! YAY! We also didn't have a "warlock island," considering there were 7? 8? at least 6, warlocks in the raid. So each island had 2 warlocks, each island had a hunter, and one Island had a mage. Srsly. I think we had like one melee dps who wasn't also an add tank.
Kadatha is still 27, but she'll be getting to 30 soon so she can get her bonypony. Not sure what, if anything, I will do with Califa. Rogue=still not a favorite class. Maybe I can delete her and make a BE Blood Knight come WotLK. Uma is still 41.
Alessandra ran the length of Elwynn last night (but not last night) to buy herself a PINTO pony (not one of those ever-so-popular Black Stallions everyone is going on about).
Velerath -- may get deleted too. Depends on what I do with Damarisa. God KNOWS that DotA doesn't need more druids, if I were to move Skylear too. Plus, she was paired with the husband's hunter, and he can't be in DotA, and I don't know if he wants to level a hunter again or not.
Llane: Ruana is down to about 300g now, having sent 6000+ off to Seluja, and then 100g to Magnificent and 150g Indolence and 150g Iocaine, and then 600g off to Harkness. So yeah, need to do some dailies to make that back up. The 100g was when I realized, halfway from Razor Hill to Sen'jin, that Indolence had 9g to her name, and there was no mailbox in Sen'jin, at about 12:30 a.m. that morning. I trundled her back to Razor Hill, and promptly sent 100g to each of the lowbie alts for riding training and funding money. Magnificent got his pony that night and leveled his JC and mining with the raw ores and bars sent to him by Harkness. Indo and Iocaine got their mounts that morning before work. Ruana got to DPS Heroic Mana-Tombs that week, which went SURPRISINGLY easy. Our biggest problems were the mobs that gouged our tanks, when we had multiples of them, considering we had only one sheep. (we had prot pally, fury warrior, cat druid, frost mage, priest with qq spec (21/40/0? wtf?)) Anyway, it was the daily, and went very easily.
Saffron: has done some more ZA, but gotten NO drops (qq). She also has gone to Mount Hyjal! Yes, we did MH a while ago and actually had enough people show up to pull it off. I had to heal though. We basically 2-shot him, because a warlock spoke to Jaina while some people still weren't summoned and we weren't buffed and only half the fight was explained. So we tried a second time, and wiped, and then got Rage down on the third! We went back last Thursday, and I have specifically requested for Ruana to go. We'll see...right now, we're missing tanks AND healers. She also healed a Karazhan where we brought in 3 Browncoats folk, 2 at 69. We only got to Aran, but they got some upgrades, and not much was sharded. Thank god a lot of plate dropped...I was going to be pissed if a lot of caster stuff dropped, as I wanted to bring Seluja, but had to heal.
We've done MH a few times now, gotten Rage down consistently - Ruana has tanked adds, and Saffron has also healed again. We've made a few tries at Anetheron, but have not gotten him down yet. I think we'll do better with a different strategy next time.
We're doing Al'ar for the first time tonight, and I am a tank of some kind. Not sure what. This should be fun!
Seluja: is 70. Has gotten to go to Kara twice now. She's only gotten the Glove token drop, however! Much annoying. I did zoom through the entirety (with the exception of the undead dragon) of Terokkar quests on her one day, as well as do the Nesingwary chain. I think I will hit up Nagrand next on her, though SMV and Netherstorm are also calling to me. Especially those with Scryer quests, as I farmed for Firewing Signets over the past week and got enough to get her to Honored, then turned in all the Sunfury signets I had waiting as well as Arcane Tomes, and she's now more than 3/4 of the way through honored. I may buy my way to Revered and the Scryer's Bloodgem, though her +hit is really good. A bit overkill with the ghost hit still in effect (or so I hear).
Harkness: is now 60, has her Pink Hawkstrider, and is painfully leveling engineering. I did just get the Fel Iron Shells pattern, and since I will likely use those bullets when/if I get the gun upgrade from BF, I will use those for skill ups to 320, where I'll make bombs to 335, then White Smoke Flares, and then GOGGLES! Of course, I have to be 62 to use them, but I will have them, oh yes.
She'll have to give up Torchwood, the 45ish cat in her stables, soon. I'm going to get a ravager as a DPS pet, likely named Owen or maybe Ianto. Ha, or maybe Suzie? Because you know, They Keep Killing Suzie...
Iocaine: is 40, has had her wolf mount since about 38ish? Whenever the patch went in. Hubby's druid is 45. I may actually level her some during GenCon. Rogues are still not my favorite class.
Indolence/Magnificent: still at 30, both with their mounts now, tho. Magnificent went up in his JC because of all the ore Harkness send him while she was leveling mining, her engineering outstripping her mining by a far amount.
I'm in the beta, and now have 3 DKs (2 horde and 1 alliance), though I think I may only try to level 2 of them. I think having two different specs would help me figure out how they work. Only Sierjna is high enough now to get her talent points. I need to do a few more quests on Sigh to unlock those.
Ruana and Tryna I've logged into; I need to log into Healah and Saffron. Especially Saffron; there's one NPC I want to talk to over in Warsong Hold, because he said something to Ru that he really shouldn't say to Saff, so I want to see if the game is that aware of it. And if not, file a bug report!
