once i get the stuff finished for the super secret book i'll send it soon enough ^^;;
just like the clothing patterns I use a laser cutter to cut the acrylic, which follows a computer file that tells it exactly how to cut it. This is one of the easier projects I've done :x
using the laser cutter to cut and etch designs is so much easier and convenient than cutting by hand and using paints to make custom in-scale patterns.
Even when I go use the laser, the people using the other ones always have very different uses for it. One guy makes boxes and he's there a lot. He cuts the pieces out of wood and engraves designs into them as well. This other guy makes pieces for board games, he even sells on etsy but I haven't goon and looked for his shop yet, lol. I haven't seen anyone else work on fabric, but it was fooling around with the acrylic pieces that people left in the scrap bin that led to the headband idea.
I really need to make a video for etching, since that video was cutting only, I'd just have to edit it and fassssst forward cause putting the designs into the plain fabric takes 12~20 mins sometimes.
