Storm's in the vet again. She hasn't been eating for a couple of days so I decided to have her checked. Her APL levels were off the charts again and the system couldn't even read her results. The vet says it might be an obstruction in her gall bladder but we've opted surgery out since she's an elderly dog and since the surgery isn't routine here, the survival rate is low. We're scared since her kidneys are not functioning well and it seems like her liver isn't doing so great either. We've been visiting her in the vet everyday and it's just so painful to see her that way. I hope she gets better soon. Nikki (her daughter) hasn't been eating since we left Storm at the vet and she's been looking all over the house for Storm :(

. . .

My team had this crazy idea of freaking in the office out (especially those in the A office). Our dress code is extremely casual and everyone just comes in in jeans or shorts. So just for giggles, we decided to come in dressed in corporate attire. I came in after Marvin and Patricia, Donna and Joey were on their way out. Joey (our boss) looked at me and said "Why is everyone dressed up?" It was Friday and usually we dress down even further. Marvin said he got the same reaction. A few minutes before our 9am meeting, Joey was in our room when Francis came in and he again goes off and asks why we're so dressed. Marvin gave a sorry excuse that we were attending a seminar, and by now the three of us were laughing. We didn't think they'd buy that excuse and we were right since people kept asking the same thing. An hour later, Joey comes back in again and asks us in a serious voice "Seriously guys, why are you all dressed up?" Francis tells him that he saw Stevie (from the other department) the other day in slacks and a polo and we just decided to do the same thing. Joey laughed and said "Oh okay. Great. Kate (our boss in the A office) wants a picture." Which made us laugh even more. If Joey talked to Kate about us, that meant they thought we had come from an interview (which was what we wanted them to think) and were resigning. It was lame but we just wanted something to laugh at after that crazy week.

The new editor is starting on Monday. I am hoping that she's good and can pick up things quick so she can at help us with our files. The last editor was not only more hindrance than help but he's made us all paranoid with newbies. Hopefully the new one can lighten the load a little. We've been swamped since Nino left.
