trillanes vs PGMA standoff

Nov 30, 2007 17:38

Another failed coup attempt by Mr Trillanes yesterday. That makes it twice now. Oh well, third time's the charm eh? And what is it with this guy and hotels? First with Oakwood, then the Peninsula. To give him credit though, his taste is getting more upscale. Not that it helped him. The only thing he did was aggravate people and cause major traffic in Makati. Not to mention that darned curfew. If you're going to go against the government make good on your threats! Don't go half-assed into it! If you were so willing to die, why did you surrender so easily.

As for the tank-in-the-lobby thing, overkill much?? Although that was probably a good show of power for the PGMA administration. And let's not forget the captured media personalities/men. If you wanted to hold and question them, then you should have stuck with your earlier statement that they were captured for obstructing justice. But you had to say that you want to verify their identities as to make sure that they were not part of the coup. You capture Pinky Webb and Ces Drilon and you want to verify their identities?!?! Anybody with television set knows who they are and you don't?!

I have to admit though, there was a moment when I thought that trillanes would pull it off and she (PGMA) would put us under martial law.

The thing that pissed me off is that we get more bad reps from other countries. We'll be expecting less foreign investments, not to mention tourists after this fiasco.

But thank you for an entertaining afternoon!
