originally uploaded by heidiologies. I first heard about the Portuguese dark chocolate donut candy called Filipinos from Arnel's uncle about five years ago. We always thought it was funny, though to be honest I was offended the first time I heard about it. Dark chocolate? Filipinos? Come on!
Anyway, our neighbor went home to Portugal and brought these back for us -- WHITE chocolate Filipinos! Proof that the Portuguese aren't racist, she said with a smile. Can't argue with that. Besides, these things are pretty damn good!
