Bugger!
Must admit to a certain growing nervous anticipation(at times verging on gibbering fear) at the prospect of being there whilst Jelena labours to help Sofia in to this world.
Though I have a 14 year old curmudgeon of a son I wasn't there when he was born(he was a c section) so I sort of missed all the screaming and grunting that I think accompanies the transition of a new life here.
Sofia is scheduled to make her appearance around the 20th of November.
(the sands are running low)
Have to say though that the idea of having my own little girl to care for and love gives me the biggest of warm fuzzies.
(I have always wanted a girl)
Jelena is still working, bouncing in the front door at 6,full of energy and sparkle....impossible to restrain as she heads to the kitchen to cook.
She is a veritable dynamo.
She has always been an up,up,UP kind of person but I imagined the pregnancy would slow her down somewhat,particularly in the last month or two.
Nope.
Dead wrong me.
We are heading off to Serbia tomorrow bright and early for a well deserved bit of r&r.
We need to do a little document dealing to clear the way for my residence permit to Serbia.
This is for me to take my driving lessons and test there rather than here in Hungary.
Hopefully I'll begin driving in Serbia from January.
Can hardly wait(though I am now 41 so I've managed to wait pretty well till now) to get me license and then drive to Vienna,Prague and Rome on a kind of regular basis.
(not to mention home to Scotland)
Imagine,I've never even been to Italy or Spain(I don't count Majorca) yet!
Have to take me old camera to Serbia and keep me eyes peeled for stock images for the Agnes series.
There hasn't been a picture for about a month as I havn't found the location shots I want.
(that's the hassle of only using my own stuff.....limiting in a way)
Speaking of images....Jelena will be getting another 4d imaging session done next weekend(4th of November)so we get the final look at Sofia in her little universe.......but my motive is an ulterior one,I want some really good images of Sofia as they'll be incorporated into my Agnes series as the series comes to an end(which I calculate will be in about two years) in the future.
By then my little girl will be two or three years old,probably living and growing up in Serbia.

Soon I'll be heading out the door to down a few whisky's with Dave as we jointly toast our birthdays in a belated fashion.
His little girl(Lily) is due at exactly the same time as Sofia.
Dave's lady,Mindy is now a friend of Jelena,they share the same Doctor and they'll be in the same hospital(hopefully) at the same time.
I got a brand new laptop.
(I bought it yesterday and was refunded the cost this morning)
A company asset bought for me.
A nice shiny über powerful Sony VAIO.
(allready has me Photoshop installed on it,did that straightaway last night)
Taking it to Serbia tomorrow with my two new issues of Photoshop Advanced and Photoshop Creative.
Keep me busy.
Life is damn good right now.
So many good things coming around the corner.
(I don't tempt fate here,I don't believe in it at all)
