so i was at work listening to string orchestra pieces on youtube

and i happened upon bloch's concerto grosso for string orchestra and just flipped out and said "I NEED TO BE IN AN ORCHESTRA AGAIN." so i e-mailed the director of iliana's orchestra, who is a vassar alum and actually knows some of my friends (random) to see if they need cellos, and he e-mailed me back and said i'll be given the rehearsal schedule, which starts in july. so, yeah, i'm in an orchestra again. i'm fuck-all terrified, but ridiculously excited. it's something that was missing for about 4 years, when before that, i hadn't NOT been in one since i was nine years old.

i am happy. and excited.
