Catch Up, Catsup, Ketchup

Crazy pants at work since the traffic manager left in December, which has put a serious damper on my creating plans. Things are finally getting caught up, and I'm starting to feel a bit of extra energy at the end of the day. Because of this, I am way behind on the HSM. I started 1920s combos, but never finished. February was so screwed with travel to potential new homelands, I had barely the energy to wash dishes when I was home, so the blue challenge when to hell.

But, March is Stashbusting. I make lists telling myself that I'm going to work on a particular project, because UFOs cluttering crap up count as stash in my book. Currently, it's the apron made from the material made special for Wm. Booth Draper that I ordered last summer at Wyoming Valley.

Because I am a crazy person, I went full hog and split it down the middle to mimic the apron in Fitting & Proper. Also, it's completely hand-sewn. Because I am a crazy person. I'm only doing it because I need practice with some of my hand stitches, particularly back stitch. The sucker has been seamed, pleated, and the pleats stitched down. All that's left is the tape and marking stitches. Next is that stupid 1790s cap I started a century ago. After that, my blue shot silk 1800-10 bonnet. After that the banyan I started in 2009. After that, those blouses I cut out while Jim was in Slovenia. Maybe those knit skirts I cut out last summer.

Whatever will be, UFOs will be finished, dang it, if only to get them the hell out of my space. And if I get to a new, start-from-scratch project in there, then awesome! But I'd rather get these hangers-on out!
