Maybe it's
Miss Fisher that's making me love it, maybe it's the newish line of
American Duchess shoes (boy, am I wishing I tried for the
Harlows when they were available), maybe it's the whole idea of kicking up my heels and drinking bathtub gin just sounds super-fun. I can't have the gin (on a restricted diet--long story), but I *can* dance.
I got some shoes, some fabric in house, and a book or two to read that I'll be posting about in the coming days and weeks. If you aren't familiar with Phryne Fisher, get thee to a computer or your Netflix account and search for Miss Fisher's Murder Mysteries! You won't regret the time spent watching it. It's even got me in the 1920s music (of all things!)
I hope to cover some projects, reviews, and tutorials in the next few weeks, all having to do with the 1920s, with some probable dips into the late teens and early 30s (no earlier than 1915 and no later than 1936).
I hope that you folks will enjoy! I certainly will.
