where I try out for a creative team
I am trying out for a CT (creative team) this week - my layout is complete - I just need to upload and apply for it. For you non-digiscrappers, that is when a designer chooses you to promote her designs by giving you free kits to work with. Then you post to a few websites (with your layout) and tell how great the kit is, so that other people can be inspired and buy it. It would require completing 3 layouts a month for her, some require more, some require less. They ask what other CT you are on... I guess everyone uses people who are already known.
Since this is my first try, I am not likely to get it, but my work is steadily improving since I have started studying design, but I am not sure about inspiring. Again stretching myself to see, and that is good - cause you don't go anywhere unless you try.
I also submitted another layout for publication this week. It wasn't so nerve-wracking this time, so I may join the mass submitting site. I am hoping that I can earn some spendy money someday through submissions. You know, just enough to upgrade my equipment. That the the dream anyway, but first let's try to get published anywhere.
