The only way this could possibly get better would be if Moffat teamed up with Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchett to raise Douglas Adams from the dead, and then the four of them got spectacularly drunk and wrote the fifth season together.
(Personally, I would also give a small cheer if they could talk JKR into writing one Doctor-lite episode in S5 and S6, but, yeah. There is potential goodness here.)
IRL, I am spending this week editing three or possibly four vids, and I'm not coming up for air much. Luckily, Dale & Thomas Popcorn has re-introduced their fantastic Buffalo Wing popcorn via online-ordering (and
jlh is very glad that I will stop asking her to see if they have it in their Times Square store) so between that and diet coke, I am all good.
One of the vids I'm doing is all action, and one has a lot of dialogue, and I'm thinking a bit about the different structuring and editing issues of both - and the mind-blowing-ness of doing both simultaneously. This may become a future post.
But for now, I'll just note that I watched all the Jensen Ackles/Patrick Dempsey/Poppy Montgomery portions of Blonde today and, well, huh. Was he actually old enough to drink when he filmed this because he looks like such an ickle blond-ish baby all dressed up and disreputable, especially when next to in bed with the slightly disheveled, pre-Grey's Patrick Dempsey, who, I note is actually older than Jeffrey Dean Morgan. After spending so much of yesterday scoring through Smallville to grab specific 2- and 3-second clips, it was interesting to watch Jensen in a completely different context - a romantic/drama role. I like seeing him outside the action-hero-zone, and it got me wishing again that 10 Inch Hero will at least make it to DVD soon. Anyone have any news on that?
