as I had to stop halfway through the first episode to go pick up my husband, whose car battery died at his office. Luckily, despite the 45 minute interruption, it was wonderful to enjoy this
Sam's subconscious thinks he's a hooker and Dean's a male model type.
And other things happened, too.
Balthazar had better come back - perhaps as the angry angel on Castiel's shoulder who tries to Jiminy Cricket him.
And yay, Crowley is still not dead! (Sorry, I've developed a massive thing for Mark Sheppard.)
I am very worried about Castiel being the one who blocked out Lisa and Ben's memories because he also had to have cleaned things up back at home and changed everyone in the neighborhood's memories of Lisa's live-in, Dean, but I can fanwank that as yes he did but offscreen, but if he wiped their minds, he can go after them if he is angry with Dean, or he can put the memories back to fuck with Dean. I am sure neither will happen - let's call the Adam plotlines - but they're hanging out there as Things.
Does Castiel's delusion of grandeur mean that Chuck will be back? Or will Castiel revive the Supernatural book series?
I did love Dean's manifestations of John-esque behaviour because it was a neat glimpse into John On a Hunt With His Sons modus operandi.
Ooooh, if souls in Purgatory are now in Castiel, does that mean that the monsters that John, Sam and Dean killed over the years are now part of Castiel? Hmmm, who might we meet again? Real!Meg? Henriksen? They were spirits when last seen and I'm not sure how that worked - but what about Gordon?!?!?
One thing I know for certain: before summer is over, I will do a Castiel-centric vid to a certain Duran Duran song. Okay, possibly before the month is over. I don't find him scary at this point, not at all, but I loved loved that smile in the final moments.
