I got a canvas letter from the county regarding the civil service exam I took in November. I ranked number one on the test ;-) go social work degree!
The job is in Mayville (about a 25-30 minute commute from my home) which completely sucks (mornings are soooo hard for me as it is), but this could be a really good opportunity for me. It is $2 an hour more than what I make now and that is just to start. I *think* after six months I would get a $.50 raise. Per year the COLA (or contract raise however you want to think of it) and merit raises would be about $.50 more a year than at COI, and I think the health insurance costs less.
OK, OK, I will stop going on and on because I haven't even gotten an interview yet! LOL.
