Weekend Update with COLIN!

Hmmm, how 'bout an update of what happened over the weekend?

Thursday after school me, Mike, and Vince went to see The Grudge. Vince and me hadn't seen it before, and Mike was loving it again for the first time. Basically if you enjoy a good horror movie then I imagine you'd find this quite good, and it went in a few directions I never would have thought of. It was quite good, in spite of my deepseated dislike for stupid loud-talking people in movie theaters.

Friday I did a little bit of siding work til it got too rainy to keep going, then went to work. Which was pretty cool cause I got to hang out crazy-like with Tony while working. Came home around 10 and hung out with Tyler and Danni til 4 or 5 in the morning at the hotel she works at. By hang out I mean talked and watched some tele until I fell asleep on the comfy Comfort Inn couch. I have GOT to steal that couch! A very nice couch indeed.

Saturday I went to work in the morning, kinda regretting all the not-sleeping I'd done. But ah well. Wasn't really good, wasn't really bad. Then I went and shaved my head before going to Mike B and Mike P's birthday party with Mike R. It looks a good bit better then I thought it would, but now everything is cold. But I secretly got a kick out of coworkers freaking out on account of "that guy with all the crazy hair" suddenly doesn't have any, cause for anyone reading who doesn't know me I hadn't had a haircut for about a year and a half. Anyway, me and Mike go to this party and we're haveing a real good time. We definatly have to go drinking with those guys more often! Spent a little longer there then was originally planned on cause I was designated driver and had a few drinks to be sociable, then decided to take an extra while to make absolutely sure driving was cool. Then went to Tyler's aunt's house, played some drinking games, and had a good time til abruptly falling asleep.

Sunday after taking Mike home was spent entirely chilling with Tyler, and mostly playing Evil Genious. Which is like the Sims only instead of a house of people, you omniciently control an evil organization that aims for world domination. It was the best waste of a day off I've had in a long time.

Monday didn't have much going on with one gigantic life-changing exception. I'm flipping through tv channels curious what's on TV anymore and I see a guy I could swear is Jim Croche on Mr Roger's Neighborhood! Well it turned out not to be one of my most favorite 70's singer/songwriters but I kept watching. Turns out him and his brother are called the Karminov Brothers and they preformed a 5 person juggling/tapdancing/mambo that was easily the coolest thing I've seen on TV in years. More work, then staying up late to finish up a paper for english that's due on tuesday.

So then tuesday, got up bright and early to ninja kick the voting booth. And shame on those of you who didn't vote cause for every person that didn't vote a puppy got launched into the sun. Seriously. Then went in to school to put the last bits in my paper and sludge through another day of class. Come back to apartment to read, play with roomie, and crash.

Today I finally abandoned the search for my sock hats and just went and bought a new one. It's alright, but I kinda liked my old cheapie walmart one better. Oh, and while I was out I bought some Monteray Jack cheese cause I've had a jonsing for it all week and thoguht that's an appropriate reward for hauling ass through the night to get my paper done yesterday. And verily, it was delicious.

Sorry for the lack of detail, but I figure people reading don't care or were there themselves. Anywho, have to read some papers arguing against the US Constitution now, and ought to tackle some history before it becomes too much to handle before test-time.

Later, LJ
