It's time for an update..
I've been working at Target for one year this month and I have to say that it is absolutely THE best job I have ever worked for. I think I would feel other wise if I was doing something else there, like cashiering or something but because my hours are always 7am-11am or 7am-3pm its a steady pace. I scan the inventory for the store so my team and I get to be in our own little world. Haha.
Another plus, after I had been working there for 8 months I recommended Richie for a position and now he works early mornings before I start. It's nice to see him there and perfect that we are not the same hours because that would be just way too much time together.
Target feeds us, has volunteering events, fun events, crafts and so much more
but.. one of my close friends on my team just quit because she found a new job with better pay and before she left she said to me, "Target's not forever, its just the right now."
Believe me i knew/know that but just like most things it becomes routine and before i knew it ive been working there a whole year. I don't want to move up in the store because thats not a life and thats not my life.
So, to cut to the chase I enrolled back into school and will be starting in the fall. No way in this life time could I pay for school by myself but i dipped into my savings and did it. I got to my FAFSA workshop on August 4th and pray that I get a fair amount.
Idk why I was waiting on my family to finally help me with school but this is something I need to start.
Lately I have been researching and calling and going to appointments for low income apartments. By the time they call will be the time for me to move out.
Life seems to be going in the right direction and its a fabulously scary feeling :)
To top it all off this year was Richies and my 3 year anniversary, i have this unbelievable group of friends now where you're best friends with everyone not just one person. Its crazy nice. Like our own little family. The best part is that they are my best friends and Richie's so we don't have to split time between so many people. And my family and I have been spending a lot of time together. It has been nice.
