56 second update
in the past 25 days i have:
-moved back to downtown long beach with krystal. perfect apartment, huge top floor of a 30s fourplex, queer landlord, tons of windows, wood floors, yellow walls and white crown moulding. our own attached laundry room. can see the ocean and queen mary every morning, ride my bike every night. we're both 99% happier and more content and not fighting all the time, or at all. OH and free internet for the first time in a year! <333
-transferred to a store on pine
-started looking for museum jobs
-petted my hamster gadget like 30,000,000 times; he is so cute
-hydroplaned across two lanes and flipped my truck on the freeway during a downpour. landed on the passenger side in the right lane. no injuries.
-got a scion xB
-got stitches from jabbing my finger into a food processor blade while packing. i could almost see my knuckle-bone!!
-gotten straight As on all of my japanese assignments and tests. i could probably talk to like, a mildly intelligent 4 year old native japanese speaker and understand what she was saying and maybe even throw in some words she doesn't know.
-filed for graduation!
-started to volunteer at my school's world renowned entomology research museum
-registered for classes. i just have to take two next quarter: 1) japanese, and 2) i'm taking field entomology for fun (i get to go to different sites around southern california on weekends and collect insects and record them and process/mount them and they will go into the museum research collection)
-worn asics and old zip-up hoodies ever day
-rekindled my love for androgyny and laura veirs, nina nastasia, aimee man, scout niblett, yo la tengo and anna ternheim
so for maybe the first time in my life i don't feel like a completely dependent aimless slacker and as i suspected it's rather nice!
