Singapore!

ok sooooo...
left for Singapore EARLY on friday morning. EARLY. 3am we left the house, and were driven to the airport by nothing short than a very good, albeit, psychopathic taxi driver. Speedy...but OMGIAMGOINGTODIENOW type thing. landed in Singapore in possibly the BEST airport I have ever been to. THEY HAVE FREE INTERNET AND EVERYTHING IS MODERN AND PRETTY! /gush.

Took a taxi to the hotel and OMGWTF unbelievable. considering that dad paid around £200 total for 3 people for 3 nights, including breakfast, plus COMPLIMENTARY UNLIMITED MINIBAR!!!, I'd say that was a pretty good deal. (Royal Plaza on Scotts) Especially since the lobby looked like this. Holy Cremosa.

That night me and my parents went on a tour. I'd never been on a tour before. And it was exactly what I expected. (note - that's not good.) You got to see some sights and stuff, but you didn't really have any idea where you were, and you didn't really get a feel for the city - most places (so I've learned) are best explored on foot - you really get to know a place like that :) Saw Clarke Quay, went on a bum(p?) boat, went to Bugis (which is like camden market - except more compact), then off to Raffles hotel to have a Singapore Sling (Gin cocktail that was very, very very good :D)

Next day, I FINALLY managed to ditch my parents and go off on my own for the first time in a while. I love my parents, but I also like doing stuff by myself. So off I went to the Funan Digital Life mall. However-many-levels of tech stores and stuff. I was :O. So I bought stuff :D a lot of stuff :S Came back to the hotel to drop it off...an then went out again! just walking around, taking pics, exploring, lookin' at shtuff :D

The next day...well, it was kind of a waste at first - I spent hours and hours and hours wandering around aimlessly (note to self - ALWAYS have a plan.) looking for a new strap for my watch...and then...later on that night...I met up with Radiah and Puteri! :D They're these girls I know from uni - Radiah lives in Singapore, and Puteri lives in Malaysia, but was randomly around while I was there. It was cool to hang out :D And also kinda weird. But more cool than weird. Because, for the last few weeks, I've been 24/7 pretty much with my parents and there's only so much one man can take!!!! weird, cuz like, you travel x thousand miles and you see the same people. I mean, seriously, wtf's up with that?!!

I'm back now :D check out tha pics :D will update more soon :)

miss you guys :(
