ANYWAY...

FLY SPRAY RECIPE FOR JESSICA!!!!!!!!!!

I make my own...the ladies that taught my Equine Acupressure courses in college gave me this recipe. It works really well. You can spray it on yourself too as there aren't any chemicals in there that can hurt you.

25 drops of each. use pure essential oils
Citronella
Spearmint
Peppermint
Lemongrass
Frankincense
Eucalyptus
1/4 cup Vodka (I use a high proof, dirt cheap, rot gut stuff)
1/2 cup apple cider vinegar (pure)
1/4 cup witchhazel
1/4 cup rubbing alcohol

if you can find the unfiltered Apple Cider vinegar, it works best....but it is more likely to clog up a spray bottle, so I use it as a wipe instead.

I'm going to be ordering more essential oils this year, as I ran out...waiting for some call backs and e mails back on prices and stuff....I'll let you know the best places to buy....heck, if you want, I can make some up and meet up with you somewhere later on this year and give you part of a batch to try out first if you want to make sure you like it, the horse doesn't have a reaction to it(unlikely, but you never know) and that it works for your flies up there (it works on the small frog and mouse sized horse flies down here!!) before spending a lot of money on the oils(they aren't terrible pricey, but seem like it at first since they are in small glass bottles....but they last forEVER). In the long run, it is cheaper to make it than it is to keep buying various fly sprays from TSC or feed stores. Hopefully I'll have my oils before EA and I can just bring some up there with me.
