taki drivers are INSANE! so i was late coming back from IKEA and so i asked him to "kuai yi xiar" which translates roughly to a little bit faster... key words... little bit. i find this to be a great adjective, for example. if you want a little bit of ice in your cup you can put two cubes in it... but apparently in taxi lingo this means SUICIDE MODE!!! RED ALERT HIT THE DECK!!!! I mean... for starters he started going liek twice the speed of EVERYONE else... and then we got on the six lane highway and we would happily swerve through the traffic jam of taxis thats ALWAYS present in China... i mean going from the far left lane to the far right and wow... its really quite a thrilling adventure. not to mention i was alone with large IKEA bags (also known as the sweidish walmart of furniture... yes they even serve salmon and swedish meatballs... hahaha).
and today is the fourth of july. i must find some fireworks somewhere... :)
