[ Cameron doesn't know what woke her, or what the time is, but Derek is there, next to her, and she doesn't have to get up. Neither of them has to get up. They have all the time in the world, so she snuggles closer instead of blinking the sleepy haze away and getting up, burying her nose against Derek's neck. ]

[It's weird, Derek can be a pretty heavy sleeper in certain places and a light sleeper in others. This is one of the places he's a light sleeper, probably because it's unfamiliar. He was in the place between sleep and waking up when he feels the bed shift beside him and a touch at his neck. His arm that had been haphazardly draped to the side beneath the pillows curls up around soft, slim shoulders and he hums a rumbling waking up sound, the tone much much deeper than usual since he'd been asleep.]

Morning. [ Cameron shifts closer, muttering the words against Derek's neck, her eyes still closed and just enjoying the warmth of him next to her, the weight of his arm-- she smiles against his skin. ]

[As his mind works its way into consciousness and he feels her shift against him, her warmth against his side and her lips against his neck, the corners of his lips twitch into an almost smile as his arm tightens around her shoulders and pull her closer against him. This is how he'd always like to wake up, with her presence there next to him. It's perfect.]

[ She buries closer into his warmth, perfectly content to be here, with him. ] Sleep well? [ She knows she did, she hasn't felt this well-rested in a while, even with the sleepy haze still wrapped around her mind. She loves the ease with which he can pull her to him, how they fit together.

The nuzzling turns into an open-mouthed, soft kiss against his neck. ]

Mmm-hmm... [Derek slowly rolls onto his side, one leg slipping between hers and the other rounding itself over the top of her and around to the other side of her. Those kisses against his neck are most definitely waking him up. They're real. She's real. And they still have nowhere to be, nowhere to hurry off to. It's nice, just lazing about with her.]

Good morning. [He repeats the words, this time with better enunciation since he's more awake. His lips find hers to press a copy of those open-mouthed kisses she'd been giving him there.]

[ Cameron smiles into the kiss. It doesn't even matter that neither of them are immune to morning breath, it's perfect in its languidity. It's a lazy morning for the two of them, and that's wonderful. They don't often have the chance to do this, and Cameron can't remember when she last felt so completely relaxed and at ease.

She runs a hand over his neck, fingers splashing out over his shoulder before wandering up again, touching him lazily, slowly, anywhere her hands might wander. There's no hurry. ]

[Their lips part from the slow, sweet kiss and Derek closes his eyes again, one strong arm and leg wrapped around Cameron to hold her close. He relaxes into the moment and just enjoys the feeling of her hands smoothing over his skin, of the warmth of her body so close to his.]

Yeah. [ With a happy sigh, Cameron snuggles - there's no other word for it, really - closer. ] Better than I have in a long time. This vacation thing, just you and me? Great idea.

[Still laughing, a low rumbling chuckle that comes from somewhere deep inside his chest, the kind of low laugh that only comes about early in the morning, Derek pulls her close to him again.] Or what, pretty girl? I better remember or what?

[He presses a light, smiling kiss to the corner of her lips.]
