I tried the mochi from the written recipe, not the one on you-tube, and it's also a bit failing (referring to my manju). The taste is nice, more grainy than I though, a bit too sweet, less sugar would be better. Also I didn't put a lid on the paste while it cooked, the result being that it cooked unevenly. I added some water to the uneven paste and re-cooked it with lid for a while. For the red been paste I had to do with canned red beens, also not the best ingredients ever found, but still, I'm happy!
