i- it's official. you're magic. this is the first time i've been rendered speechless by a fic, because i can't even find the words that would do justice to how amazing this is, but i will try. this universe that you have created is just so breathtaking that i fell head over heels in love with it. idk i just want to keep it in my pocket forever and love it and feed it. it didn't even feel like 19k, because i was lost in the fic and i enjoyed every minute of it.
there were two scenes that really really stood out for me:
And it happens so quickly Taemin is left gaping with no knowledge on how what he is seeing came to be. JongHyun’s lips are clamped over Kibum’s, a hand on his lower back and another on his waist, a pile of clean shirts lay forgotten on the carpet. Kibum is scratching on JongHyun’s shoulders messily and Taemin is just staring.
this. must be the best confession scene i have ever read. their dysfunctional relationship and their crazy, illogical dynamic, you wrote it so beautifully it just took my breath away. i have no words for how much i adored this scene. you really have a gift for writing jongkey. also, i love how you are one of the few writers whose side pairings are just as awesome as your main pairings, because normally it feels like people are just writing side pairings for the sake of side pairings.
the other scene was:
“Dude, it’s the beach,” Some guy shouts from the side and Taemin glances up to find Minho sufficiently covered, skin contrasting with the white tee. “Why are you wearing a shirt?”
“My boyfriend’s jealous,” Minho answers and Taemin’s mouth drops.
someone called me while i was reading this and i couldn't even speak for a while, i was smiling SO HARD. minho. oh my gosh there's something about him in this fic that feels vulnerable and lonely and made my heart ache. one of the things i love most about your fics is the realism in them. all your characters feel so real and endearingly imperfect, yet somehow beautiful.
and then there are your descriptions of scenery. they're so vivid and magnificent that i can feel and see them so clearly. i really should go back and look for the lines that i loved, like:
Sunsparkles dance across the ocean stretching by their feet
and this fic is not only gorgeous, but infinitely deeper and meaningful. the message behind it about trusting despite misgivings is just so, so beautiful.
They are both afraid of the choices they need to make, both still very much children. Taemin’s fingers go between long ones and suddenly, they are holding hands.
A little cry escapes Taemin as he gets lifted up suddenly. His arms automatically find purchase on Minho’s shoulders as the older boy crams between his legs, wincing as his back slams into the metal behind. Minho’s hold is iron on his thighs and Taemin’s heart is pounding against his ribs.
this part was incredibly intense and HOT, and bittersweet at the same time.
ngl i was close to tears when i read that minho was leaving, and i probably would've cried if i was a crying person. the ending was just. i had chills reading it. just thinking of 2min living in the resort forever and ever makes me all tearful and wibbly inside.
... i've probably embarassed myself sufficiently, so i just want to thank you so much for writing. this fic was a rollercoaster ride. probably the best, if not best few 2min fics i've ever read ♥♥♥

oh gosh, i really do love writing jongkey because they're so quirky. but i've not found the courage to write a full fic on them yet, hehe. one day, hopefully. ^^ for me, if i choose to write side-pairings, it's because they play a part in being a foil to the relationship of my main couple's pairing, that, or because i'm interested in them enough, but not confident enough to make them a main pairing. i don't really believe in putting things in just for the sake of it, so i'm happy that it worked out for you! /clinggggs/

i really do love scenery, and i treat them as an integral part of the appeal of a fic, so i try to emphasize a lot on it. ^^ oh gosh, i'm glad that there's some redeeming value to the fic. because this was written during a time where i really just wanted to indulge in writing a chick flick, hence i didn't think it'd have as much meaning as my other long!fics like misfits, but i wanted to at least try giving it some value for my readers to gain something from and hearing you experience that really makes it all worth it and just sadkfhwekjg. ;~; /huggggggs/
