Yeah, well, I said it. I don't want to go back to work. Damnit. Don't get me wrong, I love most of the people that I work with, but the other 75% - yeah, they pretty much suck. Especially the buttheads that act all friendly and concerned, but then cut you up behind your back. Ah, well, what are you gonna do? Just bear with it, like always. I just hope that Colleen's work experience goes far better than my own...of course, she's pretty much like me - tempermental and quick-witted - but she appears to have a somewhat better control over her mouth than I did at her age, so she should be just fine. Probably going to own the store someday...but I'm not biased...not at all.
Poker night went very nicely - well, at least the first game. I almost won! WOOHOO!!! Yeah, I'm getting a little better. I just have to remember to look at the damn cards on the table, and think of the other possibilities - never been my strong suit, you know, thinking - I usually go on gut-instinct, and do pretty well. It's not that I don't have a sharp mind - cause I think I do. I can figure out just about anything wrong with a computer, and learned everything about computers (software & hardware) on my own just reading and doing over the years. BUT, in games, I just don't have the forward thinking required to excel consistently. Not complaining, mind you, just being realistic...Like in the second hand, I shouldn't have gone all in with Rich...Rich is somewhat conservative in his play, and I should have known that he at least had two pair, but, no with my Ace, Nine, I had to go all in...and, yep, lost...Ah, well, live and learn. I will get better...just a matter of time! Oh, yeah, and hats off to Mary! You are my hero! Case and point - Mary and I were playing on FullTilt, same room, and I had an Ace, Six (offsuit), on the flop was Kd, Qd, 10d, then Jd, and some other damn card...Mary goes all in (with over 10G) so I follow! Well, yep, you guessed it! I didn't notice all the diamonds, and Mary had Ace of Diamonds...it really sucked, but that was an excellent hand.
Oh, well, can't think of anything else - oh, yeah, after poker, Rug, Jay, Dave & (maybe) Rich reiterated how they would be more than happy to put Daniel in his place should he get out of hand...I really like Rug, he's a bit crazy, but I think his heart is in the right place - just like Jay - Also, quite crazy, well, more insane - but a great guy, good dad to his kids, just an all-around good man...Don't tell him I said that Carol...he doesn't have to know every damn thing I write...LOL. Oh, yeah, and I will get you for the picture...lost it, eh? Uh-huh...I have a very long memory for certain things - not geography, mind you, but other things...
I'm tired. I want to go to bed, but don't want to go to work...crap...damn...Oh, well, good night...
