• When he was in the 5th year of primary school his parents divorced. [Myojo 2011.09]
• He used to be in a baseball team, Red Jaguars. He himself says that it was a weak team. When he was in 3rd grate he became the captain. [Myojo 2011.09]
• He failed the entrance exam for the high school he wanted to go to. He was really upset about it, because lots of students from his middle school took exam for that high school and he was the only one to fail. So he went to another school a little far from home. The guys who entered the high school he wanted to go to could dye their hair and go to school on bicycles carrying their bags. On the other hand he had to go with the train and use a designated bag. ‘It was a bag that everybody considered so lousy.’ So he was really jealous and cried at home every day, saying he was going to quit high school. • Because of that his sister sent an application on his name to Johnny’s Jimusho. [Myojo 2011.09]
• On a day in winter of his 1st year of high school he played snowball battle the whole night and got home in the morning of the next day, 21 January 2001. He usually entered the house from the rear door but that morning he used the front door and took a look to the mail box that he never even noticed before. There he found an envelope saying he passed the 1st audition and was told to come to NHK studio for the 2nd audition. When he took a look at the date the 2nd audition was going to held, it was 21 January 2001. He thinks that the envelope must have been in the mail box for days, so it was luck for him to have found it on the last seconds. He then went to the audition without sleeping. [Myojo 2011.09]
• His image of Johnny’s was blond hairs and earrings, so he immediately went to a convenience store and bought the blond hair dye. He also borrowed an earring from his mother and used it for the audition. But after the audition Johnny-san told him that those blond hair and earring are awful and told him to dye it back to black. • He changed school at the 2nd year of high school because his first high school forbade the activities in show business. [Myojo 2011.09]
