David Slade Addresses Daredevil, The Wolverine and Deadpool via Twitter

The director, just announced on Friday to helm the new Daredevil , used social media as a mini press conference to squelch some rumors and add his own thoughts on Fox's superhero line-up.

After the announcement came Friday afternoon, rumors flooded message boards and fan sites on who could be 'The Man Without Fear' including Bradley Cooper, Garrett Hedlund and Robert Pattinson. David Slade got on his Twitter account this weekend to quickly debunk these and also gave his thoughts on two other Fox comic book properties: Deadpool and The Wolverine. He addressed Daredevil first and it looks like the movie will sqarely be a reboot at this time. No actors have even been put on the table at this point, even in any type of a wish list.

Forgot to look at the internet for a few weeks and its a litany of false (and not so far off) rumours. So without breaking confidentiality, yes Daredevil, we have a great outline for a very strong character driven take on Mr Matt Murdock. It will bare no relation to the previous Daredevil movie in any way. We are at early planning stages and have not yet discussed any cast.
