Probably a silly question..
This is probably a silly question but I've been obsessing for the past few days and I want to finally get a definitive answer...
So, like many hedgies, mine LOVES toilet paper tubes. Can't get enough of them. I think that if he could spend his life running around with a tube stuck on his head he'd be set for life.
I take him out every night and play with him, but eventually, I need to sleep. I have class, and other things that i need to wake up and do so that I can make sure I can keep him happy and safe. So back into his cage he goes.
He refuses to run on his wheel, and I don't want him to get bored in his cage, so can I keep a toilet paper tube in there for him to play with? like, would it be safe? I'm just worried that he's going to get it stuck on his head and be unable to get it off, because that seems to happen sometimes when he's playing (it'll look like he's trying to get it off but it just won't work, so I end up feeling sorry for him and taking it off for him) and I worry that he'll get it stuck and not be able to drink water or eat if he's hungry or anything.
i know it probably seems like a silly question, but I love my hedgie so much, and I don't want to do anything that's unsafe for him, and this seemed like it potentially could be. So, am I being foolish? And if not, and I'm not supposed to let him have a tube overnight, does anyone have any tips for things I could get for him to do in the tank while I'm sleeping? Like I said, he doesn't like his wheel (only time he ever touched it was when he was running around with his tube stuck on his head and didn't realize it was there...)

In this one he was playing peek-a-boo...he'd come out from under his fleece, look around, then go back under it.....then come back out a few seconds later. It was adorable! I wish the picture was better, but my hand was shaky, and I was just hoping I'd get it before he went back under!
