Our New Adoptee
Long story so I'm cutting it :)
We were given a hedgehog by some college gals. My impression was they thought the poo was icky, theynever handled him, and he had to live in a dorm. I do not know if he has ever been bathed...
I had a pair of hedgies growing up. I had them for years before they finally passed away. I've been wanting one again since then. One of my hedgies was quite sweet and i could pick him up and bath him and it was great fun, he never rolled. the other was kind of a butt and would actually bite. I never was able to break him of it.
This one is anticsocial as you can imagine from not being handled at all. He's under a year old but I believe he's about full grown from the looks of him.
We did the shirt in his cage thing..he loves it and sleeps in it.
How often should we handle him daily? We have to use gloves to get him out of his cage because of the quills and huffing and bumping. We take them off once he is in our hands and he usually runs around a bit on our arms then just sits there and doesnt move. We can not pet him..And I remember petting my hedgies from long ago..
I just really want to make him a more social and sweet pet, so any and all opinions/suggestions/tried and true measures, would be appreciated. thank you!

Also I would LOVE to see cages! Way back then we just kept them in a bunni hutch type of cage...now theres new advances in hedgehog care and play lieks and dislikes so i would like to give him a nice hedgie mansion! So i would love to see your pics of your hedgies homes! thank you!
