Yay! Kate Hutton is on my radio talking about the east coast earthquake.

That subject line will make sense to many Californians (possibly just southern Californians), but maybe not anyone else.

It's not a real earthquake until Kate Hutton is on the radio talking about it.

So, congrats, east coast. It's a real earthquake. Kate Hutton from Cal Tech is on the Madeline Brand show on KPCC talking about the east coast earthquake.

While the web page for the Madeline Brand show doesn't yet have a link, I'll bet there will be a link later today so that those of you on the east coast can also be assured by listening to her talk about your earthquake.

(BTW--she just pointed out that evacuating the building isn't the best idea in an earthquake, esp. if the building isn't built to seismic standards. She talks about that and acknowledges that probably most people were more worried about a terrorist attack than an earthquake.)
