NOT ABOUT MY WRITING OR MY BABY HOLY SHIT
So _lullabelle_ and I were talking about how we'd like to get into Classic Who, and I was thinking hey why don't we make a thing of it?
I miss all my Torchwood people but even I have to admit that MD was uh... yeah, well, a fucking mess. (With good parts! But a mess regardless.) And I don't know whether we're going to get any more.
HOWEVER. I love my Torchwood friends, be they S1-S2 purists or CoE fangirls like me or MD haters or MD lovers or whatever. So I was thinking maybe we could start a comm for Torchwood refugees where we get to watch new shows with the people we love and have discussions and stuff? I JUST MISS NERDING OUT WITH YOU GUYS, BASICALLY.
Obviously Classic Who is at the top of the docket since that's what inspired this, but we could do other shows too like Once Upon a Time or Spartacus (my current faves like BIGTIME) or whatever other suggestions you have (Sherlock? Being Human? Castle? Glee? 90s X-Men? I'd even watch Firefly if it were with my frands).
Would any of you guys be interested? I thought maybe we'd vote on a day of the week to do a watchalong with a chat room like Gleeclub did, and then a discussion post the next day for people who wanted to watch on their own time, and just keep it to a couple episodes (or one pissmidget in the case of Doctor Who) a week. So not a big commitment, but just a chance for us to reconnect and nerd out about things and maybe try out some new shows.
So would you:
1. Like to do something like this
2. Invite your friends
3. Prefer for it to be invitation-only (friends of friends) or public (absolutely anyone can join)
4. Prefer for it to be on Dreamwidth or Livejournal
OKAY PLEASE LET ME KNOW OKAY SO I CAN SET THIS UP? And I'm leaving this post public, so feel free to share it around / signal boost to your flists. I don't want/need this to be limited to JUST MY FRIENDGROUP, so doing a TW six-degrees-of-separation thing could be fun and hell you can invite people who have never even watched Torchwood IDGAF, your friends are my friends as far as I'm concerned.
