Hurray, have now finished season 2 of "White Collar" so I am caught up. Loving it, absolutely. I am curious if there is any WC/"Castle" crossover fic out there - it seems like a natural, not just for the shared city (and cinematography) plus potential criminal investigation overlap, but some similar thematic stuff. I mean, conman/forger = author is something of a stretch but once you think about it... well, Castle and Caffrey could have some interesting conversations, as could Becket and Burke, and wow, look at that alliteration. I'd write it, except there would have to be a plot, and plot is hurting my brain just now.
I feel unusually caught up good-TV-wise, having managed a belated run through "Sherlock" this winter (which didn't take long) following the long and much-belated journey through "Battlestar Galactica" over the summer and fall. Also caught up on "Doctor Who" except for the short things that just happened that I have no time to watch today.
Am also in that place of having just finished, ho-hum, writing another book - it felt rather like a non-event this time, in part because I know just how much editing I have coming up (and then what, is the real question). Speaking of "Battlestar Galactica," there was the equivalent in it of that moment on New Caprica where "One Year Later" flashes on the screen and we all go "Huh?" though I think maybe I made the seven-months-in-one-chapter go a little more smoothly. Maybe.
I should be posting here about books I'm reading and I'm not, shame. Currently am halfway through Andrea Wulf's The Brother Gardeners which I've had around for ages waiting on the right moment. I will need it (and her new book) for the next big thing I write... the next two big things I write, hopefully. Am hoping to explore in more depth what it is about William Bartram and Alfred Russel Wallace that makes my heart melt. "The woobie factor" is too simplistic, though that is part of it.
Okay, must go pull weeds now, but wanted to let you know I'm alive, and humming with anticipation about what Neal and Peter will get up to next. Ooh!
