New Years Bust or Bash?

You know, there are perks to growing up. I would've never believed that I could pull of what I did this weekend.

Background: My parents are super protective and I have a really bad driving record, therefore, they never are too sure about me driving long distances. Now, this summer they let me drive behind them up to Wisconsin and that was about 8 hours home by myself but it's eaaasy driving.

Well, my mom and dad basically shrugged when I told them I wanted to go to Wheaton (about an hour and a half in really good traffic) to visit a friend (who I really did visit) and see Adam. This was how it was going to go: I would get there Thursday, "sleep over at my suite mates" (she lives in Wheaton), hang out w/ Adam and his brother Friday, "sleep over at my friend Michelle's who I am visiting", shop with Michelle, go into the city for New Years, "sleep over at my brothers", and hang out Sunday and go home.

This is what really happened:

Thurs: surprised Adam completely by coming a day early, hung out, locked my keys in my car, watched a movie with Adam and his brother Tony once he got there, passed out at Adams = B+

Frid: woke up extremely late, literally sat on our butts and watched TV, got a little dinner, went shopping @ Target, went to play pool in a very smokey pool hall, and got back late enough to have a good night but early enough to put in the movie Rounders and pass out on the couch = B

Sat: picked up my friend Michelle in Naperville, grabbed T.Bell and went shopping and had some success, got back to Adam's (Tony his bro is now gone), scrounged for plans for our New Years, picked up some "goodies" at Cub Food's and decided to celebrate at the house, did a little streaking, kissed someone for the first time to the ball dropping, got a little crazy, dialed a lot of people, watched Red Dragon I think, laughed until I cried, and had an amazing New Year with my man = A

Sund: Woke up sicker than when what I was when I got there, lost voice completely (we're talking Middle School boy squeakage), took a friendly golden shower, watched the pathetic Bears/Vikings game, got made fun of by my bf who likes the Vikings, passed out @ 5pm even though I woke up at 1pm, watched a little bit of a movie, left my boy, and here I am = B

It was a good weekend. We got into some stupid little fights,...like getting mad b/c I got out of the shower and got the rug SOAKING wet so I was stubborn and stood in front of it with my hair dryer to make a point, or feeling very neglected b/c he refuses to act like a couple in front of his family, or tickle fests that cross the line...haha, stupid stupid arguments.

I love him with all my might. It really is hard to comprehend the fact that we've dated for well over a year and we're still figuring each other out, still wondering what makes the other person tick, wanting more and more of that person, and seriously being silly people together and admitting we're dorks but we LOVE it. I had an amazing weekend and it's times like I had with him that make me see so easily that he is without a doubt the man I have always prayed for. God has really blessed me with an amazing man who not only can make my heart skip with his smile and my knees go weak with his kiss, but I have a guy that is an answer to anything a girl could ask for. He's my best friend and that I would not trade for anything.

Goodnight! :)
