A Day That Was Wasted

Nov 18, 2005 21:30

Well I was picked up early from school today because my god sister is turning 15. We all know this is very important to Hispanic families. Seeing as my mother works because the sperm donor fails to provide money for us, the only time we could go and actually get things done before tomorrow is during my school time. We all know Turner is a prison so they only give us a limit of 5 breaks. I already used 2 so my last 3 are for extreme emergencies, which means when some capstone assignment is due. So my mother picked me up, the day was going by pretty good. As my birthday gift I was allowed to change my crappy phone, which sucks, so we went to Cingular. (We actually went to eat and to my moms job before we went to Cingular). When we do get to Cingular we had to sign in and wait our turn for someone to attend us, and these people seemed to be male chauvinists because there was not ONE woman REP. Anyways we finally get our turn but some Rep was talking to us about special offers at the moment so the other Cingular Representative tells us to go see him when we are done. When we do he’s not there! We wait for 15 mins this man never came out of that back room. Now we are on a time schedule because my mother had to work in like an hour so she gets fed up and we leave and go to another Cingular that is some stores down. There they told us that the cheapest phone they had was $150 and it wasn’t even a good phone at that. I didn’t like any of the phones they had there. They all sucked! I just wanted a replacement for the phone I already have because I can’t use my phone seeing as it acts retarded. They have such bad service at that place. And they said it’s going to take a week to get a replacement phone. I cannot live without my phone! They didn’t even provide you with enough information or tell you when they are getting new phones because I swear the ones that they had there weren’t worth what the price was. So the point is that we didn’t resolve anything from BOTH Cingular stores which means we wasted time because we could have done other things. Now my mother has left everything for tomorrow in the morning, the day of the party. And I HATE, I absolutely loath, being rushed. That’s why I plan everything. Every minute every hour I plan it. Even if it doesn’t turn out like it was planned, at least I am on track and I know what I am doing. But being rushed I hate because my mother is those type of people who truly believe they can beat time. I have to be the one rushing her. She loses track of time then blames me when I take 2 extra minutes and she took a whole hour. And the worse part is that we have to go to the Salon tomorrow. If you’ve ever been to a Salon you kno that it takes you the whole day just to get a hair cut, at least in my case. I swear tomorrow is going to be hectic but then again it would be strange if I wasn’t living up to my name. So I am going to leave you with that.
