Happy 2013
It has been 5 days into the new year and all have been good so far alhamdulillah =) There was a surprise birthday party, we had a Turkey trip 'reunion' where we ate Turkish food lol and then I just climbed Bukit Timah Hill for the first time today in 'preparation' for Adam's Peak which I'm climbing next week in Sri Lanka. We took this route which led us to the summit in 20 mins LOL. That was super anti-climatic. But our 'descent' was more fun coz we basically tried out parts of all the possible routes (also because we got 'lost' at one point).
Just felt like posting before I forget all that happened in 2012.
Jan - April: Year 3 sem 2
- Travelled to Jakarta for one day for one of my modules, visited the ASEAN HQ.
- Best semester ever because I had no exams.
- Took Chinese and Korean as my non-law mods.
May - August: "Summer" brea
- Travelled around Europe for 40 days. Met so many people, experienced so many things. One of the best trips ever.
- 6-week internship which went alright since I have a friend in my department and the interns were awesome as usual.
August - November: Year 4 sem 1
- Last year in lawsch
- First sem went quite well. I did three research papers so that was very annoying. But that also meant that I had only one exam. I also had friends in each class so that was good lol. That's quite lame lah to still need friends in year 4 but I think friends make lawsch really much more bearable.
- I think I was seen in school a lot more this semester even though I had school only three times a week and school ended at 12 noon most of the time.
- Overall I think this was a good semester!
December: Holiday
- JLPT N3 prep course. Quite tough since it was in the midst of deadlines and exam but I'm glad I took it. If not my Jap would have been really rusty.
- Turkey trip! First trip with lawsch friends. Somehow, I felt like this was my best travel experience so far. The company was great, I could eat almost everything, and Turkey was just so pretty. Basically everything was good. I think my mood was really good throughout also. Maybe only once I was pettily annoyed when siew said my hair was ugly LOL. HAHAHA okay lah it's really petty on hindsight but I was just like SIGH why must you comment on my hair first thing in the day. This was also a 'luxurious' trip compared to my somewhat budget Europe trip. I had my own room most of the time and I had to sleep in dorms only twice. I think this was the best also because I felt like I was somehow well taken care of hahaha I mean I can obviously take care of myself but my travel buddies were so awesome that I think I just left most of the things to them.
- Came back and the first major activity I did was to go for kbox lol.
- Went to watch Rurouni Kenshin twice. This movie was so good!
- Slacked the rest of the year away. It felt good to not have to do anything.
First trip of the year is to Sri Lanka! This must be the most random trip ever so I'm hoping that it'll be a good one. I'll be back on the first day of school and I'll have a lesson on that day :/
Hopefully 2013 will be as good or even better than 2012 IA =)
