And, y'know, life in general. But mostly truck maintenance. Or repair, anyway. See, my truck failed it's smog check (bad on me, whoops) because the thermostat wasn't working properly and the "service engine soon" light was on. SO I REPLACED THE THERMOSTAT. BY MYSELF. And even with having to buy the tools and parts and shit, it cost less than just the fucking diagnostic check that the mechanics said they HAD to do to make sure that was actually the problem.
And guess what - it WAS the problem, and the "service engine soon" light went off as I was driving to work today!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I RULE.
In other truck-related news, I also changed my air filter & the A/C fuse, checked my oil, put a new license plate frame on my front license plate [shiny metal one that says "Chevrolet" with the Chevy logo on it (hey, I drive a Chevy and I'm proud of it!!)], and replaced the passenger-side license plate light. Y'know, the ones that shine on the plate so that it's visible at night? That one. One of my coworkers accidentally killed it with a frisbee the other day, which cracked me up, much to his chagrin. He gave me the $15 for the part though, and it took me all of 5 seconds to pop the old one off and the new one in.
It's been an eventful week, and the vehicular front for me. But very satisying! I like fixing things, and while I'd prefer my truck to never break or need fixing, I like that there are so many things that I CAN fix if I have to!
So, that's pretty much been my week. Yeah. Now, I need to find a good-looking guy who likes girls who know how to take care of shit. (I'm allowed a pipedream or two, right?)
