I know it is so lame that every time I post these days it is at least in part to say, "Still alive!"
But I have been busy, Dear Flist. I have been busy falling in love. At the end of August my beautiful boyfriend brought me to Burning Man and constantly wore a camelback full of water and warm layers for both of us and often my journal and some

...Remember that time, when we promised each other that if one of us ever found a real Marco, we'd share? Well. Look me up next time you're in California, love, and you can put him to the test. I wouldn't trust anyone else's evaluation. He had this wild hair when I met him, but his mom cut it at the end of our roadtrip and I just kept staring and grinning so much I finally had to say, you look just like my mental image of one of my all-time favorite characters.
He's not pure Marco, of course; he's not a teenager and his life has been rather better than Marco's, so one has to throw some Aang and Apollo into the mix; also, Aladdin. And my Martín was a bit of a delinquent in his teenage years, I understand, but still got good grades -- which reminds me of Ichigo.
Is it unhealthy to think of one's lover in terms of a list of other people? It's a very effective list, though. I understand exactly how he thinks. And it's brilliant.
I'm so glad you commented because you are the only one who understands what it means when I say he reminds me of Marco. He reminds me of Marco.

(You ended up in Cali, then? Which part?)

*NO ONE* could do better.
But yeah. See! I knew you would understand! I feel like I hit the jackpot.
(Now that I am here, I cannot believe it took me so long! I'm just over the Nevada state line though, practically, in North Lake Tahoe: Kings Beach, CA. But I've been roaming all over since I got here, and it's not just the boy I'm in love with these days.)
PS right now I wish I had your "morph into flies at a frog convention" icon. MARCO! I have GOT to find my box with #4 in it so I can continue my reread.

Ah, so you're kind of far from my neck of the woods (the Bay Area). I imagine the weather's a million times better where you are, though.
Do you want the series in .txt files? I think I have every book downloaded at this point. I know it doesn't beat the books as physical objects, but I had to make do since I couldn't bring all of mine to Japan.

So if you are home and I am here and you wanna hang out, driving to the Bay Area is no big deal.
And it snowed here two days ago! It's warmer today, but still cold. Sunny and beautiful, but cold. I sit around my house in a hat and flannel and stuff.
DO I WANT THE SERIES IN TXT FILES. Do I want to be able to put the entire series in my car or my backpack instead of carrying around a bookshelf? Well yes. I guess that sounds okay. OMG THANK YOU.
(I KNOW I AM SO TOTALLY LUCKY. IT'S ALMOST SCARY.)

It snows a fair amount in Tokyo and I still count it a million times warmer than SF, though. The bay wind chill factor is killer. XD
Complete series, except for #40, which apparently I'm missing. I got most of these with formatting ranging from "slightly iffy" to "nigh unreadable." I went through and fixed the barely-readable ones as much as I could, but I definitely know I never finished #11, and there may be more (and probably a few half-finished...my goal is to one day get them all formatted for easy readability on my iPod).

...I don't know what my holiday plans are, but I am pretty sure that for the first time I will NOT be going back East, so hanging is a definite possibility! I might even be passing through the Bay Area anyway sometime around the holidays on my way to or from San Diego to see (gulp) the boy's family.
Also you are adorable with your creative use of public transportation.
