He was really beginning to resent his father and his ridiculous inventions. He had no idea that emotions could cause such a... physical reaction. His head was spinning and he felt a strange sensation of heaviness in the part of his body which if he were human, he would have described as his ‘gut’.
He would have to be taken off duty. He was no use to the ship or his friend in this state. He couldn’t concentrate; he could barely function. He had let down his best friend so very badly, for such selfish reasons.
He had wanted to experience humanity; he had so desperately wanted to feel emotion. Well he had been wrong. Fear had paralysed him and caused him to place Geordi in terrible danger.
Now the guilt would consume him, he was sure.
