Q stood outside Janeway’s quarters and crossed his arms in frustration. He was sure that would have worked. She liked baths didn’t she? And wasn’t being serenaded in the bath supposed to be romantic? Q really didn’t understand why Kathy was so upset. It wasn’t like he had never seen a naked woman before. And why the hell didn’t she want his baby anyway? Women her age were supposed to want children, weren’t they? It wasn’t because she was with someone, he thought. He was pretty sure she wasn’t sleeping with Chuckles - he was far too worked up to be getting any, without doubt.
Q stuck his head through the bulkhead into her bedroom. She was sitting on the bed wearing a towel and pulling a brush through that ridiculously thick hair of hers. “You’re considering it Kathy, I can tell”. She looked at him with eyes that could melt titanium “Q - GET OUT!” He snapped his fingers and disappeared.
Humanity - he’d never understand it.
