A Few Things

1) After Sarkozy's historic victory in France, the president-elect said that America can "count on France as a friend" -- bold words, indeed! This prompted Bill O'Reilly to lift his boycott of France. I agree with Bill, though I'm perhaps a bit more *cautiously* optimistic (yet optimistic nonetheless).

(Denis Boyles takes several lessons from Sarko's victory.)

2) During Lag B'Omer celebrations, Chabadniks in Israel launched balloons that said "We Want Moshiach Now!" One of them landed in Palestinian territory where Hamas terrorists "captured" them and then aired video of themselves with their "loot" that was supposedly some sort of sophisticated, Israeli device. When they realized that they were just some balloons, they pulled the video from the air.

3) Five for Fighting has some great new music out, inspired by the American soldiers fighting for our freedom and their families back home. Another song, "Freedom Never Cries", has haunting lyrics:

I saw a man on the TV
In a mask with a gun
A man on the TV
He had a 10-year old son
I saw a man on the TV
His son had a gun
He says that he’s coming for me.

I never loved the soldier
Until there was a war
Or thought about tomorrow
Till my baby hit the floor
I only talk to God
When somebody’s about to die
I never cherished freedom
Freedom never cries

4) The NH House Republican Alliance gives me an A+.

chabad, israel, iraq, terrorists, music, france, terrorism
