Islamic Fascists and Comic Relief

The following are all Mideast war related articles:

1) Should we be using the term "Islamic fascists" to describe our enemy? NRO has a symposium to discuss this question. (You can probably guess where they come down, but you might be surprised what else they have to say and who's saying it...)

2) Ace has had enough. Whereas the president just began using the term, Ace is calling it quits until further notice:

...although I've usually been careful to use the preferred term "Islamofascist" as most "resepctable" commentators do, with the occasional sloppy slip-up, as a means of distinguishing peaceful, loyal Muslims from the terrorists--

I'm dropping that practice, as of today. Until the Muslim community can demonstrate it is, in word and deed, as opposed to the slaughter of its fellow citizens as true citizenship in the UK, US, Australia, etc., demand, I'm not pretending we have an "Islamofascist" problem anymore. What we have is a Muslim problem.

If the Muslim community wanted to eliminate terrorism, it could do so within a month.

As it's not part of the solution, it's part of the problem, and it's time to judge it as such.

I wouldn't go as far as he does, but he has a point. The Muslim community has to be more active in dealing with this problem. Instead, groups like CAIR only provide cover for the terrorists.

3) GOP Vixen has "the most shallow assessment of the Mideast war ever" which is basically a hilarious "hot or not" series of photos. At least we have a sense of humor in the West! (Also, my friend Cam sent me a link to IDF babes.)

4) I found a few Israeli blogs: Israelity: The Reality of Daily Life in Israel, Chayyei Sarah (an Orthodox Jewish woman living in Jerusalem), and Jewlicious, a group blog which is becoming increasingly popular.

5) And honestly, this is unrelated, but it's hilarious.

israel, islam, terrorism
