(no subject)
a long-awaited post for all you punters out there in LJ-land.
life is as usual here in auckland. working way too much, thinking about work way too much, just generally being in a work frame of mind way too much. this in and of itself is a bad thing, but when combined with the inability to get out and live any kind of fruitful life it becomes infinitely worse.
i had a close call with a scooter the other day. very nearly bought myself a near-new indian-built vespa. very very cool, but the guy left the country without contacting me, so said scooter is sitting in a garage somewhere for upwards of 6 months with no-one to ride it. namely me.
the other day i watched apocalypse now redux. and now im reading heart of darkness by joseph conrad. ive now bought that book 5 times. i dont know what happens to all the copies i buy, but im sure i have at least one at my sisters place in sydney.
rachel is coming over again for a week at the end of november. i wont have much time off work, but at least we'll get to hang out a little bit. i hate the phone, phone calls just suck so much. then im back in sydney for a week at xmas. cant wait for that.
apparently i missed out on singing in the bigtop at blackstump. i plan on coming back for it next year, assuming im still here.
i think thats about all the news i have. such as it is.
