(no subject)
not a lot has happened, but the things that have occured have been wonderful. aimee came home last monday, and she surprised everyone. no one expected to see her until next summer when she came home, but she got the last ticket home. so needless to say, i've been pretty ecstatic. we had a ton of catching up to do, and we've been doing it over french fries and pie. since she's been home, i've definitely been a lot more cheerful, and it feels really nice. i missed her so much, and i didn't realize how much i missed her until i saw her. she's pretty much been my girl for my entire life, and the both of us are back in action now.
new year's was nice. there was a lot of sparkling juices involved, and it was fun. during the day, pixy, aimee, angelina, and i went grocery shopping, for the nights festivities, and we decided (and purchased) three things: sparkling juices (peach, passion fruit, and raspberry), a giant cookie with hoochie-mama lips, and soft lofthouse cookies with white icing. i voted on buying the "air-brushed" pink cake, but i was outnumbered. we went back to my house to veg for awhile, since we were all tuckered out. we went to alison's around 9:30, where there was a terrible game of trivial pursuit (90's edition) and Golden Girls. i don't really know what was with me, but i was pretty much ready for bed at around 10:30. i was so tired and un-energized, but i finally ended up falling asleep around 3.
i have a lot of hot dates (with my girls, of course) to catch up on, and in addition to that, i have a lot of things to get done before i have to go back to school, which i'm only partially excited about. i don't think my classes will be as boring as last semester, but who knows. things have a way of biting me in the ass sometimes. i've been putting off buying books for quite some time, most likely because i hate to see my hard-earned money go away so quickly, but i better get going on that.
tonight, the plan is to see the life aquatic or the motorcycle diaries, both of which i've been wanting to see for a quite some time, but have yet to find the time/energy. sunday night is a good movie night, especially a sunday like today, where it is pretty dreary outside.
i still haven't been able to take my turtles home because we haven't found an adequate filter for them, but that will be my mission for this week.
but as for right now, i'll be eating a nice big bowl of pho, and maybe playing some mario kart.
