ok so in my bedroom of the house i'm moving into at school in columbus, i'm painting the wall next to my bed a bright red color that i fell in love with a while back, and i want to do a lyric quote up in one corner and have some abstract/line design thing stemming off the last letter to pull more color over the rest of the wall/ look cooler.
i know i want the quote to be about dreams/sky/that sort of theme..
HOWEVER! i can't decide which lyrics, and i've already narrowed it down from an original five million long list haha. thoughts???
1. "because a vision softly creeping,
left its seed while i was sleeping.
and the vision that was planted in my brain,
still remains within the sound of silence"
((simon and garfunkel - sound of silence))
timeless classic, loved them since i was little through my dad, solid, intense line.
2. "close your eyes, and i will be swimming,
lullabies fill your room, and i will be singing,
singing to only you.
dont forget ill hold your head,
watch the night sky fading red."
((something corporate - as you sleep))
andrew mcmahon is my love, this line is perfectttt with the red color, and it makes me happy/comforted.
3. "and between the jungle and the stars,
you sing nonsense songs in 12 bars to me,
and in my sleep i hum along."
((ludo - hum along))
4. "she used to dream of moving pictures
now she slips into the sky."
((rx bandits - only for the night))
i thought about doing my favorite jack kerouac quote but then there'd be no room for anything but the words haha... and there were massive amounts of SoCo i considered, so many awesome lyrics about space/the sky/etc. the ludo song is adorable, awesome, and i've been in love with it for years, and the rx bandits line i am obsessed with... but i think i'm leaning towards #1 or #2 though...
i'm trying to think objectively of just the words and what would be better if you didn't know who each line was from..
ahh hard choice opinions would be most helpful! :]
