18. Air conditioning.
When I was a kid, my family had really bad lucking with air conditioning. The A/C in all of our houses broke at least once, and one year during a really sweltering summer, the central A/C in our house stopped working. We also used to go camping during the summer a lot back then, so I got pretty accustomed to being in the heat.
Nowadays I'm a lot more spoiled, but I try not to take air conditioning for granted.
