(no subject)
Well my uncle just called here about a half hour ago to tell us that my grandmother has finally passed away. She was suffering for a long time with congestive heart failure- almost a year now and she's been in the hospital since the end of August.
This may sound odd- but I'm happy for her, that she's no longer suffering. I believe she's in a much better place now- with her husband, parents, son and the rest of our family that's gone on ahead of us. Selfishly, I'm going to miss having her here. I always liked to take my dogs and go to her house for a visit.
So far, I'm holding up okay, but I think the news is just really starting to sink in. I've been expecting this for awhile now but it's always hard when it actually happens.
