I've never heard of that but I will keep it in mind ;) I wouldn't even go see Open Water cause of them being in the ocean the whole time.

Aw, hon! Those are awful! Although I don't mind the water (which is good considering where I live!) I had a tidal wave dream a few weeks ago. My family and I were all standing in a hotel parking lot by the beach and I looked back and this giant wave was about to hit Florida and I realized I couldn't reach my son (who was about two in my dream because I always dream of him as a toddler) in time. I woke up in a panic and crying.

I think it's probably from all the news lately and add that to any stress in life and instant horrible dream is created! I hope you can find something good today that will get the dream out of your mind. *hugs*

It could be. My dad was like "Are you on a tsunami kick or something?" and I was like "NO!" it terrified me when I heard about all that and I'm soooo far away from it all.

It's just that wall of water thing that terrifies me. I was scared to death of big fountains when I was a kid too.

Oh can I relate...I have had a life long (I don't remember how old I was when it started) reoccuring nightmare about tidal waves. I live on the west coast of British Columbia and Vancouver Island would prevent any really big waves from reaching the lower mainland, but still *shudder*

I'm quite happy in an outdoor swimming pool, I'm not too crazy about the ocean either but I'll still go in it. Lakes I have not probs with.

Yeah in a swimming pool I'm totally fine! It could be 20 feet deep and cause it's a pool and enclosed I'm completely fine.

But yeah, I hope my tidal wave dream isn't recurring. It was really horrible! I don't like deep water where I can't see the bottom.

Living where I live in Southern California, the ocean is just down the road from me. I went swimming in it once and I was pulled under by a rip current...*shudders* it buried me under the water with sand and I had a hell of a time getting out of it. I refuse to go near the beach anymore, I absolutely hate it...I know how you're feeling.

Sorry to hear about the dream; I hope you get a peaceful night's rest tonight :)

yikes a rip current that's no good! I'm not normally a beach person either- I prefer a nice clean pool ;)

I should get a better night's sleep tonight- I went shopping so that helped a lot hehe!
