Some things:
1) When snow falls, Britain stops functioning. Anyone who doesn't drive is too distracted by the pretty expanses of white, and anyone who does sits around moping about the condition of the roads.
2) There is no heating in this house. I have about seventy-four layers on and I'm still bloody freezing.
